As some of you may know, every year there's a music festival in the first week of May, here in Coimbra. It's the oldest student festival in Portugal, and the biggest one. From Friday to Friday, we have musics from every genre - from reggae and fado to metal, rock and pop.
Tonight was an "extra-night", celebrating the 110 years of the Queima das Fitas.

It was good, but it wasn't awesome. I, and everybody, was expecting something great, as we had here some of the best portuguese musicians, like Jorge Palma, Lúcia Moniz e Sérgio Godinho, but they only sang 3 or 4 musics each.
For two times, we had to wait for one whole hour for the next concerts but, finally, at 5 o'clock in the morning, Kumpania Algazarra started to sing. I had never heard nothing by them, and when they start to play a myriad of amazing instruments - saxophone, trombone, tuba, trumpet, clarinet, drums, atabaque and accordion - I simply started to jump and dancing, with my eyes closed and like I was high (I mean, I've never been high before, but it was amazing xD). You know, I never dance in public, nor jump. But this was very, very, good. It reminds me Beirut a lot, but it's not the same thing. At all xD

And if you like it, listen also to Maygeri and to Move It Move It. Oh, and for communists, Liberez le Monde!!! It was played by them in the Festa do Avante, the biggest communist party in Portugal.
